Yep - Stephen Lewis played 'Inspector Blake' in On The Buses, and 'Smiler' in Last of the Summer Wine.
Anna Karen played 'Olive Butler', and the late 'Nora Batty' was played by Kathy Staff.
She played the same part from the initial episode of Last of the Summer Wine, right through until her death in December 2008.
A very sad loss.

There are two companies that make the tampers on our network. I work with the Plasser machines and there are also machines made by Matisa neither is Italian
Plasser is Austrian with the international HQ in Linz (nice place last visited in 2003) not sure about Matisa think they are either Austrian os Swiss, I have never worked them.
Plasser UK is based in West Ealing London

My Favourite train is the Black Diamond and I last went on it about 18yrs ago. I like steam trains, there's something very civilised about them. I sometimes go to Button Oak and sit in a field to watch them. The countryside around there is stunning:p

Worked with a guy (he was conducting me over a route) he was from Crewe and he was an old boy who is/was one of the last steam drivers who sign the network. Have not seen him about over the last few years but he drove the steam train for the Harry Potter films he goes by the name of Brasso.I would love to have a go with steam.
